Michael Paul Gittings

Michael Paul Gittings was born August 14th, 1945, in Omaha, Nebraska and died on September12, 2020. Mike received his education at Holy Name Catholic School in Omaha, Nebraska and continued his higher education at The University of Nebraska Omaha. Mike married Judy Koley on September 10th, 1966, at St. James Catholic Church in Omaha, Nebraska. Mike’s professional career in healthcare and as a private business owner span over five decades. Mike and his wife Judy resided in Omaha, Nebraska until 1992 when they moved to Lake Zurich,

Illinois for 5 years and in 1997 moved to West Chester, Ohio where they have resided for the last 23 years.

Mike is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Gittings; his children: Michael Ben (Joan) Gittings, Lisa (Rance) Miller, Christopher Gittings, Matthew (Becky) Gittings, Tony (Joy) Gittings, Nicki (Brian) Wellbrock, Amy Teutsch; 17 Grandchildren; Jordan Gittings, Taylor Gittings, Michael Gittings, Jack Gittings, Alexandria Gittings, Lilly Miller, Alli Miller, Rose Miller, Sophia Gittings, Matthew Gittings Jr, Tony Gittings Jr, Isabel Gittings, Evelyn Gittings, Auggy Gittings, Anna Wellbrock, Elise Wellbrock, and Maggie Teutsch.

Mike was preceded in death by his Parents Benjamin and Eleanor Gittings and his brother Benjamin Gittings.

Mike enjoyed watching his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. Mike was an avid Golfer, Hunter, Fisherman and Wood Worker. It was in these favorite hobbies of Mikes that he created lasting wonderful memories with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. Mike’s life was well lived and is a legacy to all who loved him. His dedication to his family and Catholic Faith is carried through in his children. He has left lasting memories and our grateful hearts will always treasure.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM Monday, September 21, 2020 at St. John's Catholic Church, 9080 Cincinnati Dayton Road, West Chester, OH 45069.
