Michael L. “Mike” Creeks, 74, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born December 13, 1951, in Zanesville to the late Walter and Wanda (Stotts) Creeks. Mike retired as a Railroad Engineer, where he began working on the B&O and later went to short line railroad. He enjoyed Ford vehicles and attending car auctions. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, teaching them how to fish and how to fix things. Mike was a born-again Christian; he loved the Lord and his church family. He formerly attended Fair Oaks Baptist Church and was currently attending Duncan Falls Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Debbie Donnelly Creeks; three sons: Chad (Julie) Creeks, James Creeks and Troy (Cassie) Donnelly; a daughter Jody (Josh) Shipley; a brother Jeff (Stephanie) Creeks; three sisters: Joan (Bill) Pletcher, Teresa (Bill) Paynter and Becky White; nine grandchildren: Brittany, Trenton, Tyler, Breanna, Kyle, Saydee, Ella, Kayla and Katelyn; nine great grandchildren; and two special friends: Rick Eddie Donnelly and Matt Cutlip.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Rickey Creeks, David Creeks and Tommy Creeks.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7PM on Sunday, January 18, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral service will follow at 11AM, Monday, January 19 in The Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Gerry Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
