Mildred Eileen “Peggy” Kenley, 87, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023. She was born October 24, 1936, in Zanesville to the late Walter and Mary (Meloy) Hittle. Peggy was a graduate of Adamsville High School. She was a Lab Tech at Good Samaritan and also worked in the lab at Ballas Egg. Peggy was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, enjoyed baking and was very devoted to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Lee Anne (Ken) Leachman, Russell (Laura) Drake and Sue (Jake) Marshall; eight grandchildren: Matthew Leachman, Michael Leachman, Sarah (Chris) Iliff, Christopher (Annie) Drake, Tasha (Matt) Landry, Amber (Kevin) Dailey, Jason (Brook) Lafollette and Amanda (David) LeMaster; and 21 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Kenley, who passed away in July 2015; three brothers and two sisters.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8PM Thursday, December 14, 2023, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, and one hour prior to the service at 11AM Friday, December 15, in the Snouffer Chapel with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Baptist Cemetery.
