Myra Church Obituary

Myra Lee Church, 84, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born November 21, 1941, in Flatwoods, Kentucky to the late Charles L. and Peggy Potter Clere. She was a 1959 graduate of Russell High School in Kentucky and was employed in the Environmental Services Department at Knox Memorial Hospital. Myra enjoyed watching crime shows on television, but her greatest love was being a grandma. She was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church.

She is survived by her children: Ron (Becky) Cook, Renee (Scott) Welsch, Stan (Tiffani) Cook and Cheryl (Kevin) Fuller; a step daughter Kristee Church; two brothers: Carl (Janice) Clere and Ed (Phyllis) Clere; ten grandchildren: Breann (Shane) Adams, Katie (Caleb) Vittitow, Laura (Sam) Fox, Caleb (Erin) Cook, Brittany (Terry) Corp, Jacque (Josh) Smith, Missy Fuller, Abby (Jacob) Steele, Angelina Welsch and Merissa Welsch; 14 great grandchildren: Maddy, Allison, Andrew, Tucker, Myra, Ben, Silas, Benny, Eleanor, Judah, Atticus, Waylon, Lilly and Jack.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Wayne Church, who passed away August 2022; and two brothers: Charles Orville Clere and Norman Clere.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM, Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Cornerstone Church with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, OHIO, has the distinct honor of serving the Church family. The Snouffer Crematory has been entrusted with cremation care.
