Nettie Grace Watson,90, of Norwich passed away peacefully at her residence with her family by her side on Friday August 15, 2025.
She was born in Highland Township Muskingum County on January 18, 1935 to the late Kenneth and Mattie Ross Bowers. Nettie married Clyde Elton Watson on August 2, 1952. She was a 1971 Graduate of John Glenn High School. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Muskingum County Soil and Water Conservation Board, Muskingum County Genealogical Society, Board, First Families, Pioneer Families, and Civil War Families of Muskingum County. Nettie’s proudest title was being a mom and a farmer’s wife.
She is survived by four children: Duane (Joyce) Watson, Bev (Larry) Hansel, Jeff (Beth) Watson, and Darryl (Tracy) Watson, two sisters: Martha Jean Martin and Janice (Weldon) Funk, 11 grandchildren: Danielle Bilyeu, Curtis (Holly) Bilyeu, Jason (Amy) Hansel, Kayla (Nick) Jones, Brandon (Whitney Stewart) Watson, Brody (Kelly Willey) Watson, Grace Ann Watson, Kim (Jason) Goff, Abby (Tyler) McClain, David (Molly) Watson and Craig Huey, numerous great-grandchildren, two brothers in law Don Green and Walter Fox.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde E. Watson who passed away on October 6, 2018, a daughter Susan Bilyeu who passed September 20, 2014, a son in law Dana Bilyeu who passed September 24, 2014, brother in laws: George Martin, Roy (Marlene)Watson, Glenn (Phyllis) Watson, Dean Watson, Richard (Wanda)Watson, and Kenneth (Pat) Watson, sister in laws: Lena May (Gary) Claypool, Martha (Paul)Babcock, Sara Fox, Carolyn Green, and Mary Louise Watson.
Nettie has chosen not to have any calling hours.
The family would like to thank Genesis Hospice for their help in her final days.
