Norman “Norm” S. Ashton, 69, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born October 8, 1954, in Muskingum County. Norm was mechanic and loved his animals. He was a member of Friends of Slow Joe Motorcycle Club. He loved riding his motorcycle and British bikes. He enjoyed teaching his daughters and grandkids how to be handy.
He is survived by his wife Victoria Spicer Ashton; two daughters: Stacy (Scott) Drake and Aundrea “AJ” Ashton; five grandchildren: Kaleb Ashton, Mason Drake, Andrew Drake, Noah Drake and Taylor Drake; and chosen brothers: Bob Dayton and Mike Swartz; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his in-laws Clarence and Jane Spicer; his aunt and uncle Myrtle and Bill Dayton; and parents Eula Flowers and Bill Van Horn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Down Bikers Fund, PO Box 493, Zanesville, Ohio or Genesis Hospice Morrison House, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio.
