Phyllis Lee (Fletcher) Vansickle

Phyllis Lee “Jenkins” Vansickle, 78, passed peacefully Wednesday, February 5, 2025, surrounded by family at the Laurels of Heath. She was born September 15, 1946, in Newark, Ohio to the late Ira L. and Dorothy M. Amspaugh Fletcher. Phyllis loved spending time with her family and enjoyed the outdoors. She loved every living creature big or small; she even had a pet raccoon. She loved flowers and gardening.

She is survived by her children: Marvin Jenkins and Jimmy Jenkins; a sister Mary E. Fletcher; a brother Frank Leroy Luckeydoo; and two grandchildren: Kaitlyn Jenkins and Shyanna Jenkins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter Anita L. Jenkins; her son James Jenkins; first husband James B. Jenkins and her second husband Charles R. Vansickle.

Friends may call from 10AM to 12PM, Monday, February 10, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. The funeral will begin at 12PM with Brad McCune officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
