Richard "Steve" S. Hopkins

ZANESVILLE

Richard S. “Steve” Hopkins, 70, passed away at Genesis Hospice Morrison House, Saturday, May 3, 2025. He was born November 4, 1954, in Zanesville to the late Louis Arthur and Jeanetta Pearl Ferrell Hopkins. He retired from the maintenance department at Burnham and enjoyed collecting diecast cars and trains.

Steve is survived by his wife of 24 years Linda George Hopkins; a brother Louis E. (Debbie) Hopkins; a sister Sharon (Tom) Newman; nephews: John (Heather) Hopkins, Brian (Misty) Hopkins and David Newman; nieces: Elizabeth Hopkins and Julie (JD) Dunlap; several great nephews and nieces; great great nephews and nieces; cousins and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice Morrison House, 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.

Calling hours will be from 11AM to 1PM Thursday, May 8, 2025, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Terry Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
