Ronald C. "Ron" Corp

 ZANESVILLE

Ronald C. “Ron” Corp, 76 passed away Friday April 21, 2023, at his home. He was born May 31, 1946, in Shingleton, Michigan to the late Orbie and Clara Marie Johnson Corp.

Ron spent his life working in the oilfields and was the owner/operator of Corp Oilfield Services LLC.  Ron enjoyed playing guitar and in his younger years was part of a band.  He loved going to the river spending time boating and camping with family.  He also enjoyed model cars and collecting guns.

He is survived by his children: Mike Corp, Mark Fluharty, Michele Spencer, Ronald Moore Jr., Chris Corp and Richard Corp; brothers:  Jimmy, Orbie and Terry; sisters: Polly, Ginger and Debbie; grandchildren: Kassey Crane, Robbie Friedrick, Christopher Wolfe, Brittney Corp, William Corp, Michael Spencer, Ashley Spencer, Ashley Fluharty, Mindy Corp, Melanie Coble, Holly Ladd and Ozzie Ladd; four great grandchildren: Emmit Crane, Emily Pride, Rachel Pride and Abby Cunningham; caregiver and friend Melissa Filkins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Judy Corp who died on September 14, 2021.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Muskingum County Literacy Council. Checks may be made out to MCCF and mailed to the Muskingum County Community Foundation at The Straker Building, 534 Putnam Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701, or go to MCCF.org and click donation and follow the prompts.  The funds will be used to help with Adult Literacy in our community.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Calling hours will be 5 to 7PM Monday, April 24, 2023, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral service will begin at 11AM, Tuesday April 25, in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. Burial to follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
