Shirley Ann Mangold, 85 of Mt. Perry passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Adams Lane Care Center. She was born April 14, 1936 in Columbus to the late George Franklin and Ethel Mae Wiseman Mangold. She was one of seven children (five sisters: Blanche, LaDonna, Viola, Helen and JoAnn; and a brother Ronald); who grew up on the East Side of Columbus. She graduated from Central High School in Columbus and Otterbein College in 1964 with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She taught high school Spanish for five years before starting her second career at United Technologies, where she retired in 2000.
Shirley was an avid gardener and lover of animals. Her favorite color was red and her favorite book was The Bible.
Calling hours will be from 10 am to 12 pm, Friday August 27, 2021 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. The funeral service will begin at 12 pm with Bill Blair and Pastor Titus Byers officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
