Steven Kim Casto

Steven Kim Casto, age 62, passed away after his hard-fought battle with cancer on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Raised in Kirkersville, Ohio, Steve was the youngest of nine children; his parents were the late Otis and Frances Emogene (Jones) Casto.

Steve graduated from Watkins Memorial High School in 1978 and retired from the Local 50 after his 33-year career as a Union Pipe Insulator. Steve will always be remembered for the special love he held for his wife, daughters, and siblings – as well as his passion for motorcycles, soulful blues music, beach vacations, camping, and renovating his 1837 S&K Farmhouse in Zanesville, Ohio. 

Steve is survived by his wife of 39 years Kimberly Jones Casto; three daughters: Celeste (Doug) Goehring, Hannah (Jarad) Harper, and Olivia (James) Casto-Bolton; his brother Tommy (Shelley) Casto; four sisters: Donna (Kenny) Wimer, Lynn (George) Snider, Gayle Musick and Patty (Terry) Johnson; three grandchildren: Briella Goehring, Lincoln Harper, and Knox Bolton; five sisters-in-law: Theresia Casto, Judy Casto, Connie Casto, Karla Highman and Paula (Brian Cashman) Drake; brother-in-law Chris Jones; and his numerous nieces and nephews.

Steve has reunited in heaven with his mother and father, three brothers: David, Richard (Casey), and Paul (Peewee) Casto; and father-in-law, Roland Jones.

A celebration of Life will be held at Etna United Methodist Church, 500 Pike Street S.W., Etna, Ohio. The service will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 9, 2022.
