Terry Gardner Obituary

Terry Lee Gardner 76 of Zanesville passed away Saturday July 17, 2021 at Genesis Morrison House after a long battle with cancer. He was born February 19, 1945 in Monterey, CA a son of the late Theron Wayne and Edith Patricia Northrop Gardner.

Terry enjoyed playing basketball, drag racing cars, watching The Ohio State University Buckeye’s sports and NASCAR. He was retired from Armco Steel after 37 years and served his country while protecting our freedoms in the United States National Guard.

Surviving is his wife of 42 years Carolyn Todd Gardner; one son Alex Gardner; one brother Robert (Gerry) Gardner; brother and sister-in-law Pat and Debbie Hennessey; sister-in-law Vicki Todd; numerous nieces and nephews and his faithful companion “Hank”.

In addition to his parents Terry was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Ron Todd.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Terry’s Life on Saturday July 24, 2021 from 12-3 at the home of Pat and Debbie Hennessey 2812 Center Drive, Zanesville.

The family would like to say a special thanks to the Genesis Cancer Center and Genesis Hospice for the care that was shown to Terry and the family.
