ZANESVILLE

Wilma Marie Rock, 99, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 12, 2023, at The Oaks at Northpointe. She was born April 27, 1923, in Zanesville to the late William and Garnett Lowry Mohler. She worked at Essex Wire, baked and decorated cakes for 28 years and taught cake decorating at The Treasure House. In the past Wilma was a member of the Muskingum County Senior Center where she enjoyed line dancing and also was a member of The Red Hat Society.

Wilma was an avid card player for many years. She played weekly with her daughter, Joyce, and friends. Besides cards she loved bingo and teaching games, including how to shoot pool, to her grandchildren and great grandchildren who will carry on her legacy.

Surviving is her son Frank (Annette) Rock Jr.; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; two brothers: Robert Mohler and Gerald Mohler; and four sisters: Doris Sowers, Sandy Church, Diane Kreis and Linda Robinson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Frank L. Rock Sr.; daughter Joyce King Hatcher (Andy); granddaughter Stephanie Dodson (Raymond); six brothers: John Mohler, William “Bid” Mohler, George Mohler, Robert Hoffer, Daniel Hoffer, Earl Hoffer; and a sister Mary Krause.

Calling hours will be from 12 to 2PM Friday, March 17, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. The service will begin at the Snouffer Chapel at 2PM with Pastor Don Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
