Mike,
I am so saddened to learn of Carol's passing. When I saw the photo on this website, she looked just like the happy young girl I remember from high school band. We had a lot of great times. As big hearted as she was, I have no doubt you had a happy life together. May your memories comfort you in the difficult days ahead. I will keep you in my prayers, my friend.

Many blessings,
Dennise Smitley Hunt

Mike and Michael,

I send you both my deepest condolences on the loss of Carol. I am sure your family and community have earned an angel to watch over you all. I had the pleasure of working with Carol for years at Adamsville and she helped me greatly as I was adjusting to being a new teacher, just starting out in the profession. She cared so deeply for the students that we shared, and she taught me to focus on the whole child, not just the curriculum. Carol held my hand on 9-11, watching the tragedy unfold in her room privately, when my husband was in NYC and we didn't know if he was okay or not. I will never forget that day, with her, and the strength that she gave me. Carol has touched my life and so many more like mine, and I only wish I could be there in Ohio this week to share these stories in person. Comfort, love, and peace to you all.

Sincerely,
Beth Allen-Boyle

May God wrap his arms around you Mike, Michael, and the rest of the family, as you go through these weeks and months to come. May you find strength and comfort in knowing Carol is in Heaven with her Almighty Savior and be able to rejoice in that. I am so fortunate to have worked with her and learned from her over the years, she was someone to look up to, she was by far the most caring educator I was ever around, she loved her Kiddos! She was truly an Angel here on earth and now has her wings in Heaven. Hugs to you all, she will be missed by many.
