Charles R. VanSickle 96, of Zanesville passed away Saturday January 6, 2018 at Newark Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 19, 1921 in West Lafayette, OH a son of the late John W. and Sylvia Morton Van Sickle. He was a farmer, drove milk truck and was a member of the Church of God on Bakers Street Zanesville. Charles served his country and protected our freedoms with his service in The United States Army.
Charles is survived by his wife Phyllis VanSickle; step-children James C. Jenkins, Jimmy L. Jenkins and Marvin H. Jenkins; two brothers Paul and Rolland and one sister Ada Richards; two step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Betty Jean VanSickle.
Friends may call from 11am until time of funeral services at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday January 9, 2018 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE with Pastor Leonard Hill Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Military honors conducted by the American Legion and VFW.
